Sony made the exciting announcement earlier today during Sony's E3 Press Conference, showing off their new parnership in the form of an announcement trailer for Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission, a VR title which is exactly what is sounds like. Sony has officially revealed that it has partnered with Criterion Games to bring a VR experience to the Star Wars universe. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be released on November 17 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.During Sony's E3 Press Conference, the company reveals Star Wars Battlefront: X Wing VR Mission, a Criterion Games title that puts players in the pilot seat. Hopefully, Star Wars Battlefront 2 will improve upon the original - with or without virtual reality support. Since it seems as though Star Wars Battlefront 2 will have much more of a campaign to follow, complete with entirely new protagonist Iden Versio alongside icons such as Luke Skywalker himself, it may well be that any virtual reality additions may have to remain as stand-alone missions.īefore then, though, there are bound to be some finer details to iron out.
